Overview:

Moorlands is pleased to offer opportunities for those that love to work outdoors to maintain our beautiful College campus in Sopley, Christchurch.

What will you gain from this opportunity?

Volunteers are part of our College life and a warm welcome awaits you. From volunteering with us you will gain:

  • Being part of the Moorlands College story: equipping people passionate about Jesus Christ, to impact the Church and the world.
  • Designated Supporting Manager to oversee your activity.
  • Comprehensive Induction, training and ongoing support to help you grow and develop in an area you love.
  • Personal development and grow as you work alongside others in an area you are interested in.
  • Opportunity to attend weekly Chapel services (Tuesday)
  • Free lunch when working on campus over the lunch time period
What skills and experience are we looking for?

The main requirement is that you are interested in supporting the College and have time to commit on a regular basis or for a one off project. You do not need specific skills and experience, as training will be provided, but the following will be useful:

  • Previous experience working in a garden or allotment
  • Working independently
  • A willingness to be involved and help out
What time commitment do we expect from you?

You can volunteer as frequently (or for one off projects) as you wish. Our process for welcoming volunteers includes the setup of a Volunteer Agreement, which outlines volunteering hours and the duration of the arrangement in advance. These agreements are for 3 month period, and can be renewed with agreement from both parties.
