About
Karen is the Director of Communications at Moorlands College and oversees Fundraising. With a background in business, Karen has vast experience of working with both Christian and secular organisations.
She has been involved in family ministry in both secular and church environments and has co-authored a parenting course funded by the UK government which led to her consulting on other national projects. Karen has an entrepreneurial background as the Managing Director of a concept development company supporting individuals, large organisations and Local Authorities in rolling out their ideas, often upscaling them to national delivery and creating training programmes for training the trainers.
Karen’s work has seen her involved across a number of sectors. She’s also an author, speaker and mentor. Her topics of interest are varied, but they all have the common theme of communication at the heart of them.
Karen is a trustee of four charities; she loves exploring and encouraging those in leadership of these organisations as well as working with individuals in a variety of sectors.
She is married with three daughters, one son-in-law and a puppy. She enjoys travel, food, socialising and is a recent convert to park run.
